Should she mention that she read this text in Faith's voice? Probably not. But she did, and that alone is enough to temper the urge to be grumpy about invaded privacy and the circumstances of that photo. )
Suppose it could be worse. Rather not have passed out in the first place.
[ Like attracts like, sometimes. Rose admires women that have the traits she wishes she had. Often times it's the traits she does but thinks she doesn't. ]
happens to the best of us I ended up crashing in Sorrow's temple at least once before it was all over
[ But not before he died. She regrets that, honestly, not going to see him beforehand. ]
( In all of what's gone on, she's hardly had time to properly reconcile that fact. She knows it happened - it was hard not to feel that wave of emotion - but with so much to do, it's hardly sunk in, especially with each of the gods so drained and unable to help them anyway.
Feels a lot like they're close to being stuck by themselves. )
Hope's weak. Fear too, I'm guessing.
( They've definitely relied on the gods too long. )
[ It all Rose has thought about, from the moment he died until now. Until the next moment and the one after it. Sorrow is dead. She's lost yet another packmate. ]
Yeah. He is.
[ As for the other gods, well, ]
Probably. S'why I stopped asking for stuff from Hope for now. He's got more important shit to worry about.
Makes you wonder why they care so much about wiping this place out. And why it's taking so long.
( Yeah, sure, the gods have been running, but surely that can't be all that's kept them alive. As for the best way to stop them, Kate has no idea. Ideally, cutting them off at the source. But to do that, they'd have to get there.
Seems like a waste of energy if they're already running.
( Of course, that never stopped Rosenberg from sending people out to the Underground because of "threats" that were nothing more than Creatures trying to live their lives. )
Stuck with feelings anyway.
( Kate's... kind of grown to accept that maybe feelings aren't the terrible thing she used to believe they were. There are still times, moments where she thinks this mindset is stupid, that she should have stuck with trying to shut herself down, but they've led to a lot of good things too. A desire to do and be more. )
When you think about it, they probably had a whole planet of hosts before to provide energy. And there was a lot more of them to spread it out between?
I think this is an extreme case. Survival mode. They only need so much because they're dying. Maybe they wouldn't just to sustain things. Maybe it won't always be this way.
( She can get that. It probably is. Who knows how much of this planet they haven't seen yet. Only this city and the dead outskirts, really. There could be all the signs of a great planet if they could travel a little further. )
Maybe doesn't mean much right now. No idea how long it'll take Hope to have the energy to revive them.
( And, with the Null attacks, she's sure whatever schedule has been set back a while. Sure that the invasion won't be the last time they're stuck fighting like that, or the last time Hope will be in significant danger. )
[ It is a planet. Honestly, the cave had felt... quaint even compared to Haven. It took hours to get to North and back and there was lots of room to roam even within the city itself. ]
I always wondered, actually, why Hope didn't just revive another Hope. Get the process started. Maybe they need all the gods of one group to be able to do that?
Like summoning Captain Planet, you need all the forces of nature combined.

Oh, wait. Yes, there is. ]
With The Null still a problem,
yeah. Hard to say.

Was told that their race spans solar systems.
( After seeing how many of them invaded Hadriel only recently, the concept is chilling. They won't have made the barest dent in numbers. )
Doubt we'll get much of a breather.
Re: text;
Of course they do.
Why wouldn't they!
But yeah, you're right.
Hopefully we can figure out the best way to strike them though.

Makes sense to get rid of creatures that manipulate it.
Feelings are fucking terrifying. Can't blame them.

Not the Null.
They figured out how to beat the game.
The only exception is the gods.

Fair.
( And there's the other reason Kate can't hate feelings right now. At least they separate her from being something like The Null.
Assholes. )

All their power comes from getting enough emotion from us. Don't provide enough by ourselves.

I don't know.

Lots of reasons he might not have. Might not even be able to revive them. Just whatever lived here.

Hmm. We'll have to see, I guess.
It'd be bizarre to have two Hopes running around anyway.

I don't know if I could handle more than one Sorrow though, honestly
