[That lines up with what he knows of how this place works, so he isn't particularly suspicious. He'd mostly asked for confirmation of an answer he already knew--or at least thought he knew--anyway.]
Which of the gods do you recommend dealing with if it's necessary to ask them for something?
[Just entertaining the thought is prompting an unpleasant feeling that seems like it's coming from deep in his biocomponents, even if that makes no sense. But feelings in general don't make a lot of sense anyway, so he tries to ignore it.]
( You and everyone else, Connor. Kate hasn't been able to shake than unease since Delight's betrayal, barely speaking to the gods now, despite the fact that she still believes they're a resource worth using.
Her eyes flick down in thought for a moment. )
Confusion's useless. ( As she pretty much hates everyone. ) Usually ask for their emotion. Depends what you find easiest.
( In this city? Rage is a pretty good bet, really. )
[Connor is quiet at that for a few moments, considering that response and the implications with which gods are available. Rage would definitely be easy--he's constantly pissing people off unintentionally, and intentionally would be even simpler--and Fear wouldn't be difficult either, but what does that say about him? Does he want to encourage that sort of behavior in himself, especially in the service of one of the beings responsible for them being here? Even if it's for something essentially and vitally important?
He isn't sure, yet, and fortunately he doesn't need to make the decision right away. So for now he just nods in understanding, responding politely--]
Nothin' to thank me for. ( It's as useful for Kate to know that people are caught up on how things work in this city as it is for them to learn it. And Connor may have given her one or two things to think about, with regards to the idea of helping the synthetic members of the city. )

Kate returns the nod and waves a hand casually. )
